Seat leaks originate at damaged sealing surfaces; they are sealed by creating a small plug of compound close to the valve seat.
Ball and plug valves
Applicable from 1" NB class 150 to 36" NB class 900 and pressures up to 160 bar. In most cases the valve stays functional.
Gate and globe
Where operability is not required, the valve can be “killed” by injecting into the bonnet or inlet to block flow to the seat.
Pressure-seal valves
Sealable in service and pressurised, with special care due to the small available space and the stack-up tolerances of the parts.
